Use an LED Grow Light to Setup an Indoor Garden

Choosing where to put your indoor garden can be quite a dilemma. Obviously you would put it in front of a window for natural light if you have the option. The problem with that is that in the winter, the area right next to window can be quite cold and can inhibit the growth of your plants. The solution is to either move the plants farther from the window, where they may not get enough light, or put them elsewhere and use an LED grow light to imitate the benefits of sunlight. Usually the second is the more productive choice, but will be more expensive as well.
Grow lights intend to imitate the natural light of the sun. Some do better jobs than others, so it is worth exploring the different types of grow lights available. LED lights are a solid choice because they use very little electricity but produce excellent growing results. Because there is a mix of different bulbs making up an LED lamp, you can actually customize the wavelengths of the light that the grow light emits. This can be used to target specific growing phases of the plants or encourage more production during harvest time.
There are basically two different structures that an LED growing lamp can be found in. You will need to make sure that you can properly mount the type of light that you end up choosing. The more expensive type is a panel of lights. These can stretch to be several feet long and will work well over a large table of plants. The other choice is a small “one bulb” fixture. It actually contains multiple LED bulbs, but is about the size of a lamp that would hold one incandescent bulb. These are great if you only need to provide light for one potted plant.
